How do I change the number for my text message (MFA) code?

In addition to your username and password, BVC requires you to type in a third piece of information to confirm your identity. This is your MFA code.
Adding a new number for MFA
If you have a new phone number or will be travelling out of country, make sure you add your new number to your authentication methods. You will need to sign in once with your old credentials before you can make any changes to your account.
- In Teams or in one of your Office apps, click on the dot with your intials or photo. In the window that appears, click on the link to "View Account".
- In the My Account window, find the box for Security Info. Click on the link to "Update Info"
- On the Security info screen, you'll see your current MFA methods. You can "Add a sign-in method" to add a new phone number to your account. Or, you can choose to set up the Authenticator App if you can't receive text messages.
- Follow the instructions to set up your new number or the Authenticator app.
If you do not receive your code the next time you log in:
At the bottom of your window asking for your authentication code, you will see a link saying "I can't use my authentication method right now". Click on this link to get a list of other ways to receive your code. Your new number should show up as an option.
