How do I review a research data submission for Borealis?

Answer

Background

Bow Valley College Research Data Management strategy provides overarching direction.

After data submission:

The principal Author will meet with the RDM group after they have submitted through Borealis. Two weeks for library and Amos to review. Amos will go over dataset and library will go over metadata. Two weeks for fixes and publication.

The researcher's individual Data Management plan sets the foundation prior to project start. An individual DMP is ideal but not mandatory.

We recommend DMP assistant. Assistance with the DMP and profile creation will be provided by Applied Research (Amos).

Guidelines

Submissions will only be accepted from the author of the dataset, defined in Borealis as "The entity, e.g. a person or organization, that created the dataset". We will allow Depositors to submit on behalf of principal author in certain circumstances (e.g. Author has left the college. Amos will authorize this)

Point of contact: Principal author.

Producer: Bow Valley College

Datasets to support a journal article submission can be provided with an anonymized private URL that can be given to reviewers. Datasets that require DOIs will be embargoed until journal manuscript submission process is complete.

Deposits to Borealis
