What is the library of things?
Answer
A library of things collects and loans out materials other than books. These objects include kitchen supplies, household items, tools, and automotive equipment. A library of things gives members of the community an opportunity to borrow items that are expensive, difficult to store, or rarely used.
Examples of libraries of things include:
- Airdrie Public Library's Library of Things
- Banff Library of Things
- Calgary Tool Library
- Library of Things YXE (Saskatoon)
- Okotoks Library of Things
