How do I search the Canadian Reference Centre database?

Canadian Reference Centre is a full-text database providing access to many Canadian and international magazines, newspapers, peer-reviewed journals, and more.

It is a useful database for students in English Language Learning courses, School of Foundational Learning courses, or anyone working on an assignment focused on Canada or Canadian topics.

 

Searching

1. Search the database with your research topic or question.

For example:

2. Limit your search with the limiters under Refine Results on the left side of the search results page. For example, you can limit your results to domestic newspaper articles published after 2019:

 

Browsing

Browse publication titles with the Publications tab at the top left. For example, if you want to read the latest issue of the magazine Alberta Views:
