How do I use hanging indents to format my reference page?
Answer
There are two ways to use hanging indents to format your References page:
- with keyboard shortcuts (desktop app only)
- with the paragraph menu (Office 365 & desktop app)
You can apply hanging indents to your references:
- before you start typing. Set your line spacing to double. Use a keyboard shortcut or the paragraph menu (below) to set your hanging indents. Your references will be formatted as you type.
- after you start typing. Highlight your references. Set your line spacing to double. Use a keyboard shortcut or the paragraph menu (below) to set your hanging indents. (Tip: clear all other formatting first.)
