How do I reference and cite a PowerPoint in D2L or on a website?

Answer

 Create a reference

     Template

Author(s) last name, Initial. (Year). Title of presentation [PowerPoint slides]. Publisher. http://www.url...

Note: include the course code at the start of the title information if the PowerPoint is from your course D2L. If your course content includes the name of your instructor(s), use their name as the author in your citation and reference. If not, use Bow Valley College as the group author, like in the example below.

      Example

On a website:

McKenzie, R. (2017). How to use PowerPoint: A brief introduction to commonly used features [PowerPoint slides]. ACDbio. https://acdbio.com/sites/default/files/sample.ppt

In a course D2L:

Bow Valley College. (2020). MGMT1201: How to use PowerPoint: A brief introduction to commonly used features [PowerPoint slides]. https://d2l.bowvalleycollege.ca

 Create a citation

     Template

(Author(s) last name, Year)

(Author(s) last name, Year, slide #)

      Example

(McKenzie, 2017)

(McKenzie, 2017, slide 5)

See the APA 7 website for more information.
