How do I download Office 365?

Answer

Bow Valley College students can access Microsoft 365 for free at office365.mybvc.ca. You can also download Office 365 to use on your Windows and Mac computers.

Please note: Your Microsoft 365 license will expire when you are no longer enrolled at BVC.

Installing Microsoft 365 on a computer

  1. Get started by going to: office365.mybvc.ca
  2. Sign in with your full myBVC email and password
  3. At the top right, click on the Install and more... button
  4. When the menu appears, click on Install Microsoft 365 apps
  5. Wait for the download to finish and then follow the instructions to install
  6. The first time you start a Microsoft 365 app on your computer (eg: Word, Powerpoint), you will need to sign in again. Use your myBVC email and password to activate your license.

Using Microsoft 365 on Mobile Devices

You can also download mobile versions of your favourite Microsoft Office apps and use them on your phone/tablet. On mobile devices, you will have to install each program separately.

  1. Go to your device's app store and search for the Office app you want. (ie: Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  2. Download and install the app to your phone
  3. Open the app and sign in with your myBVC email and password to activate your license.
