How to Download Teams
- Download Teams from the Microsoft Teams download site (https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads). Double click on the downloaded file to install.
- Sign in to teams with your full MyBVC email (eg: j.student123@mybvc.ca) and your password (the same password you use for D2L and myBVC
- Check out the Links and Files section at the bottom of this FAQ for printable handouts to help you get Teams working on your computer/device.
If you have a Windows computer:
- Your computer must be running Windows 10 or 11 to install Microsoft Teams
- Bow Valley College uses the Work or School version of Teams. If you are not able to sign in to Teams, make sure that you are using the correct version
Mac computers
- Microsoft Teams will only work on the last 3 most recent versions of MacOS. Older Macs will not be able to install the Microsoft Teams desktop app (but you may still be able to use the web version on older computers).
Mobile devices (Phones/Tablets)
Microsoft Teams also works on mobile devices like phones and tablets. It is available for both Android and Apple devices.
- Search and download Teams from your device's App Store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store)
- Sign in with your myBVC email and password
How to use Teams online
You can also use Teams from your favourite web browser without installing anything!
- Go to https://teams.microsoft.com
- Sign in to teams with your full MyBVC email (eg: j.student123@mybvc.ca) and your password (the same password you use for D2L and myBVC
- Microsoft Teams will load. On the side bar, click on Teams to get to your classes.
- On the next screen, click on the square with the course name for your class.
